Pecan Apple Crumble Cake

It's the second of the three simple apple cake recipes I'm planning to taste test. The Pecan Apple Crumble Cake is a simple butter cake with grated apple folded through it with a surprise crumble layer in the middle consisting of brown sugar, chopped pecans and cinnamon. I snaffled a piece to photograph so you could see the surprise layer.

My piece of cake.
(Edit) I took the cake into work on Monday and it was all gone by lunch time. I think it passed the taste test with flying colours.
See you all again soon with some more baking from my kitchen.
Bye for now,

Hello, I was wondering where I can see the recipe for the pecan apple crumble cake. When I view this post it does not show it nor the photos of it. I loved a similar cake years ago and am very keen to try to bake this one too. Could you please share the recipe with me? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry not to reply earlier, but somehow I missed your comment. Unfortunately I didn't type out the recipes back in 2009. I was working full time and photographing weddings during the weekend and there just wasn't the time. I've just been through my 2 storage boxes of handwritten recipes and whilst I found many treasures, I couldn't find this recipe.
ReplyDeleteThe missing photos are a casualty of the closure of a photo storage company that I used in the past that went bust. I managed to retrieve most of the images but unfortunately, not all of them.
This recipe isn't quite the same but Belinda is a fabulous cook and no doubt this apple pecan and cinnamon crumble cake would be delicious. Happy baking!
